Seniors may take one day to visit a college or university and not be counted absent that day. A college day must be taken by May 1. The student must also bring in a note from the parents giving permission to take the day. The counselor will sign it as well as the senior's teachers and the attendance office.

Lastly, the student should return the signed note to the counselor before he or she takes the day. He or she must also bring evidence (a note from the admissions office, preferably) of visitation to that campus.

*MTSU and Motlow College visits should be scheduled for after-school hours.
