Parent Support Group

Purpose

The Riverdale Vocal Department Parent Support Group is the backbone of the Riverdale Vocal program, providing support for the events and activities of the Vocal Department so that Mrs. Williams can focus on teaching the music. They also serve to promote community interest in music, and to further the educational interests of the students in the Riverdale High School Vocal Department.  Parents of choir students are invited and encouraged to support the program by attending meetings and by volunteering to serve in capacities outlined below.

Parent Leadership Team

The Parent Leadership Team is made up of volunteer parents, including a Chairperson, who will work together to plan and coordinate all events.  Input and suggestions are welcome from any parent for the purpose of improving and strengthening the program.  If you are gifted and interested in serving in a specific capacity, please contact Mrs. Williams.

Committee Chairperson Opportunities (please see me if one of these is something you do well!)

• Uniforms – need someone available during the day in the first month of school (handle assigning/ordering uniforms—tuxedos, dresses)
• Fundraising (different chairpersons for different events to arrange and assist with delivery day)
• Decorations for events (Christmas concerts, Coffee House, etc.) – creative minds needed!!
• End of Year Celebration – decorate, arrange refreshments (students will perform)
