Brenda Williams, Director
 

Brenda Williams graduated from Anderson College (Anderson, Indiana) in 1986 with a B.A. in Music.  She received her teaching certification from MTSU in 1998.  Before transferring to Riverdale High School, she taught at Rockvale Elementary School from 1998-2007 where she taught kindergarten through eighth grade general music classes and directed two award-winning after-school chorus groups.  She was named Rockvale's Teacher of the Year in 2006.

Mrs. Williams is actively involved in the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association where she serves as Chair of the MTVA Choral Festival. She is also a member of the American Choral Director’s Association, the Music Educator’s National Conference, and sings with The Nashville Choir.  She has been a guest clinician and accompanist for various MTVA and county festivals. She also serves as the pianist and music coordinator at the Rockvale Church of God.

Tennessee has been home for Mrs. Williams for 28 years.  She is married to Steven (Rockvale born and raised, and a 1981 graduate of Riverdale), who works at State Farm, and they have two children: Tyler, a 2008 graduate of Riverdale and a Senior at Anderson University (Anderson, Indiana), and Bethany, a Freshman at Tennessee Tech University and a 2011 graduate of Riverdale.
