Kayla Kmetz Signs with Milligan

The Milligan College women’s golf program signed their first recruit Tuesday in Riverdale High School’s Kayla Kmetz.
“Milligan really felt at home to me,” said Kmetz. “I was excited to join a first year program and have a chance to make history as a Lady Buff.”
During her junior season, Kmetz was a TSSAA state qualifier, along with being an all-region and all-district selection. Kmetz boasted season averages of 82 both her junior and senior seasons while at Riverdale, and was the Daily News Journal All-Sports Award recipient. As a senior, Kmetz led the Lady Warriors to a first place finish at the Murfreesboro Invitational and a third place finish in the Cookeville Invitational.

Korey Smith Wins
District and Region Tournaments!!

Korey Smith followed up last week's district title with a region championship, shooting a 1-under 70 to finish as the only boy under par. The trip to the state tournament will be his second straight after qualifying as an individual in 2008. More >>

The Warriors finished the district season runner-up behind Siegel in the district tournament which was played at Champions Run Golf Course. Both Riverdale teams will advance to the region tournament.
Riverdale Girls Place in
Warren Co Invitational

The Lady Warriors finished the Warren Co. Invitational tied with Blackman and finished second place with a team score of 167. The Warriors were led by Erica Edwards who shot a 79 (second low medalist) and Kayla Kmetz who carded an 88. Erica Edwards also won long drive competition.
Korey Smith led the boy's team with a 72 which finished him in a tie for second place over-all.

2009 Murfreesboro Invitational

The 2009 Warriors start the season with a 1st place Girls finish and a 3rd place boys finish in the Mufressboro Invitational which hosted 11 schools. The lady warriors were led by Amelia Dap, who scored a 76 and was the third medalist, and Kayla Kmetz who carded a 78 and was the the overall medallist. Korey Smith was the lone medalist leading the Warriors with a 73 which earned him 3rd medalist.
