Dear Riverdale Player and Parent,
We are starting our spring fundraising campaign this week. Because of the enormous cost of running a nationally recognized football program, we are asking our players to raise money to help offset those cost that can not be funded through just gate receipts. The two big costs that we will ask players and their families to fundraise for are their Nike equipment bags and our new building fund to be able to add new facilities in the future.
The cost of the Riverdale equipment bag is $115.00 and includes the following: a pair of Nike football cleats, two workout t-shirts, a pair of workout shorts, a set of Nike sweats, and a Nike bag. If you were to by all this at a sporting goods store it would cost you over $200.00. As you can see this is a great deal offered to our players.
The Riverdale football program is asking each player to fundraise $400.00 to cover the cost of the equipment bags and the building fund. The first $115.00 will cover the Nike equipment bag. The next $200.00 will go to our new building fund for a new field house. The remaining $85.00 will go to the Riverdale Quarterback Club to help cover meals and transportation to away games this year.
We are offering many ways to fundraise. Each player will have an account and will be required to put $400 of fundraised money in that account by July 15, 2006. Each player will have four ways to fundraise and can use any combination to do so.
1. Sell advertising such as program ads and fence signs
2. Sell sponsorships or signing up teams to play in the Annual Warrior Golf Classic held on June 3, 2006
3. Sell season tickets
4. Adopt-A-Warrior sponsors
Almost every dollar that is fundraised by the player will go directly into the players account. Remember that any money raised by a player cannot be reimbursed if a player decides to quit or is released from the team for disciplinary reasons.

Just some facts about Riverdale Football: ranked in the top 5 in the State of Tennessee every year since 1991, nationally ranked in the top ten three times since 1994, played in 9 state championships and winning four in the last 13 years, at least one player nominated for Mr. Football every year from 1994-2005, played on television at least twice a year since 2000.
Tomahawk Stadium seats over 5000 people and is filled every Friday night. We have played an average of eight home games a year since Tomahawk Stadium opened in October 2000. As you can see, Riverdale is a highly visible football program. Your company will be exposed to thousands of people in one night through our 2006 advertising plan. Fans in the crowd, television, and our 2006 media guide will all give your company a media blitz to thousands of potential customers. Your business needs to take advantage of this benefit.
The Riverdale Warrior Football Program prides itself on its accomplishments for our school, but even more importantly, for our youth. It is with the support of parents, fans, and the community that our young people are encouraged to reach their highest potential. Our goal with the advertising plan is to include the business community in seeing our football player’s reach the goals set by the Riverdale Football Program. Advertising
There are three types of advertising that can be sold for fundraising. They are program ads, fence sign ads and a combination of program ads with a fence sign. Below is a list of prices for advertising for all three. Contracts must be turned in with full payment (for just the first year of a multi year contract) for the player to receive credit for the sale. There is a list of businesses that cannot be approached for advertising. Please do not solicit these businesses.
Notes about selling Advertising:
- Remember to make sure that your players name is on the contract so that he can be credited for the sale
- Players get credit for only the first year of a multi year contract
- Signs are only sold in 3 or 5 year contract terms
- Program ad and sign combos are only sold on 3 year contracts
- If someone buys a sign and program ad together, they receive a 15% discount off the price if they had bought them separately

Warrior Golf Classic
The Annual Warrior Golf Classic is another excellent way to raise money for your account. This fundraising opportunity will end on May 23, 2006 and the tournament will be played on June 3, 2006. Attached is a brochure that can be duplicated to give to possible players and sponsors. Each player can get a tee/green sponsors, sign up a team of 4 to play in the tournament, patron sponsor, cardinal sponsor, gold sponsor, and Warrior sponsor. Below you will find list of sponsorships and their cost.
Notes about selling tournament sponsors:
- Players will get $200 credit for every team that they sign up for the Tournament, not individuals
- Remember to put your name on the brochure so that you can get the credit
- The last day for this fundraiser is May 23, 2006
- The tournament is June 3, 2006

The third way that you can raise
money for your account is to sell season tickets. The cost of tickets this year
will be $30.00. The season ticket will get you into all six Riverdale varsity
regular season home games. Playoff games are not included with this ticket.
Tickets will be mailed to the buyer by August 1, 2006. Please have ticket
buyers fill out the Season Ticket Form below, detach the bottom and return with
money.

Thank you for supporting Riverdale
Football. With the purchase of your 2006 Riverdale season tickets you will
receive admission to all regular season varsity home games and can avoid the
long lines on game night (playoff games are not included with season tickets).
In the past 34 years, Riverdale has become a program
that has set the standard for high school football in Rutherford County. Riverdale has never lost to Blackman,
Siegel, Smyrna or LaVergne and holds a 26-9 record over city rival
Oakland. The Warriors have won 20
Region or District Championships in their 34 year history and have not lost a
Region game since 1995, 70 games.
Riverdale has appeared in 9 State Championship games in the past 13
years, winning Championships in 1994, 1997, 2001and 2004- a statement no other
team in the State of Tennessee can match.
The Warrior program has not only reached state prominence, they have
been recognized on national level. They
have been ranked nationally several times in the past 11 years. In 1994, after finishing 15-0, the Warriors
finished the season ranked #9 in the nation.
In 2001 they set a school record, after their second 15-0 season in
school history, by finishing the season ranked #7 in the nation by ESPN. This year after their third 15-0 season
they finished ranked #7 in the nation and were ranked in the top 15 in the
nation by 5 different national polls.
The storied history and tradition of the Riverdale Warrior Football program has come with hard work and support from our fans. We are excited about the 2006 season and glad that you will be a part of another run to a state championship.
