Tomahawk
Stadium History
After 27 years without a stadium,
the Rutherford County School Board granted the funds to build Tomahawk Stadium -
Warrior Field in 1999. Construction was completed in October 2000 and the first
game was played on October 20th. The Warriors finally had a place to call
home. Prior to the building of Tomahawk Stadium the Warriors played all their
home games at Middle Tennessee State's Horace Jones Field. Below is information
about Tomahawk Stadium and a list of firsts that took place in the months following
it's opening.
