Lifts To Be Performed

Squat (parrell) – Bench (touch & go) – Power Clean (lift & control)

** One Good Lift Must Be Made To Advance To The Next Round**

 

Weight Classes

123, 132, 148, 165, 181, 198, 220, 242, Super Heavy Weight

 

Scoring

First – 7pts., Second – 5 pts., Third – 3 pts., Fourth – 2 pts., Fifth – 1 pt.

 

Trophies

Team – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place       Individual – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place

** Concession Stand will be available **

***Guidelines***

1.      No profanity or throwing down weights. These will result in automatic disqualification

 

2.      Each team can have a maximum of 21 lifters per team and up to 3 in each weight class. If you bring more than 21 lifters, you must specify which lifters are A-team or B-team at weigh-in. Only A-team lifters can earn points.

 

            3.   At weigh-in lifters must write there opening attempts for squat, clean and bench.

 

4.      Lifters may use blast shirts, squat suits, knee wraps, and wrist wraps.

 

5.      No inhalants chalk or gloves.

Riverdale   Powerlifting   Rules

 

 

General

1. No chalk, inhalants, elbow wraps, or clean wraps.

2. You may use wrist wraps, knee wraps, Blast shirts, or Squat suits.

3. Lifter must make one successful attempt in each lift to move on to the next lift.

4. Lifter may attempt a higher weight if he misses an attempt, but he can not attempt a

    lower  weight.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

5. Lifter may change weight attempts only once during the meet.

6. All successful attempts will be circled on lifters card. All unsuccessful attempts will be

    scratched  through.                                   

7. No profanity.

8. Each team can have a maximum of 21 lifters per team, with a maximum of 3 in a

    weight class.                                                                    

9. If a team competes with more than 21 lifters, each member must be specified as

    A-team, or B-team. Only A-team lifters will earn points.

 

Bench

1. The Bench Press will be touch and go. No bouncing bar off chest.

2. Feet must remain on floor and rear must remain on bench. Failure to do this will result

    in a scratch lift.                

3. Lifter may place feet on a 45lb plate legs are to short.

4. Lifter may have a lift off by the spotter.

5. You may not strap yourself to bench.

 

Squat

1. The top of the thigh must be parallel to ground. Failure to reach parallel will result in a

    scratch lift.

2. The bar must be racked under control.

 

Clean

1. The lifter must control the bar before it can be considered a successful attempt.

2. No dropping the bar from any height. This will lead to disqualification.
