Riverdale Crowns Homecoming Queen
11-03-04
After
6 weeks of waiting, Riverdale was finally able to crown its homecoming
queen. It was well worth the wait. After a moped accident on August 9th, Jacqui
McDaniel and
her family were a little occupied with a fight for Jacqui's life and the
homecoming crown would have to wait. One of Jacqui's goals was to walk onto
Warrior field and accept her crown. Last Friday night that goal came to
fruition. Jacqui was escorted by her boyfriend and Warrior senior quarterback
Dave Thomas to mid-field where Principal Tom Nolan was proud to present Jacqui
with her long awaited crown. Jacqui is the daughter of Susan and Don
McDaniel. She is a member of the dance team, enjoys horseback riding, is very
active in Young Life, and is a dance instructor at The Barfield School of Dance.
Jacqui has made a huge impact on many lives in the Riverdale community.
Congratulations Jacqui!

McDaniel to the sideline. Don has spent the last 60 days with his oldest

days in Vanderbilt, Don and Jacqui went Scottish Rite Children's Hospital
in Atlanta for intense rehab. Coach McDaniel has not left Jacqui's side for 60
