Record: N/A

Record: Riverdale - 170-24

             Overall -  228-55

School Playoff Record: 13-22 School Playoff Record: 44-15
Best Year: 1988 Class AAA  State Champions Best Year: 1994, 1997, 2001 Class 5A State Champions
Cornerstones: QB Shane Bishop (5-11, 185, Sr.); FB/NG Stanley Brooks (5-11, 230, Sr.); RB Blake Allen (5-10, 170 Sr.); TE Jared Stokes (6-2, 210, Sr.); OT/DT Robert Brown (6-1, 290, Sr.); G/LB Zack Cierocke (5-10, 170, Sr.); RB Daniel Davis (6-1, 180, Sr.).

Building Blocks: QB/FS Trevon McIllwain (6-2, 155, Jr.); G/LB Collin Malone (6-2, 190, Jr.); TE/LB Matt Malone (6-2, 190, Jr.).

Outlook: Although longtime head coach Jerry Pearson stepped down in the offseason, don’t expect much to change under Jackie Bledsoe. The rest of the coaching staff remains intact and the Cougars will work hard to make up for an inexperienced offense that returns just three starters.

Cornerstones: QB/DB Dave Thomas (5-11, 180, Sr.); TE/DE Chris Perkins (6-4, 246, Sr.); WR/LB Rahmel Oliver (6-3, 194, Sr.); TB/DB Gaston Miller (5-7, 154, Sr.); OT Phillip Thomas (6-0, 320, Sr.); RB/LB Derente Frazier (5-8, 160, Sr.); DT Sean Kimbrough (6-0, 202, Sr.); DT Jermaine Alsup (5-11, 227, Sr.).
Building Blocks: TE/DE Chris Keil (6-2, 208, Sr.); WR/DB Keaton Anderson (5-7, 146, Sr.); FB/LB Tamar Butler (6-0, 185, Jr.); DB Terrence Savannah (6-0, 163, Sr.).
Outlook: The Warriors enter this season as heavy favorites to win a fourth state title. Anything less would be disappointing to a senior-laden squad that came within a field goal Germantown in last year’s 5A final. The offense is loaded, and this defense could be one of the best in the nation.
