Friends Against the Destruction of the Environment (FADE) is a club for students interested in promoting recycling at Riverdale High School, encouraging conservative use of resources, maintaining the outdoor classroom area, and enjoying the outdoors recreationally. Members of this club will earn points by participating in activities during the year. Activities for points include meetings, running the FADE booth during Pig Out, helping with community environmental activities, and campus beautification. These points determine the participants for outdoor recreation trips, like hiking and canoeing. As a club, we are affliated with the Tennessee Environmental Education Association (TEEA), being a member of the Tennessee Students Against Pollution (TSAP) network.
